Photography

I've been interested in photography for years and am constantly improving my skill. I enjoy travel photography best but also nature and landscape shots. I've had photos exhibited in local galleries shows and have received several honors online. See my gallery on Smugmug and various awards here.

Martial Arts

I trained in martial arts since 1974, earned advanced rank in several different styles, then taught "JKD" until 2010. I authored two books; BattleMaster and JKD Devastating Fighting Techniques and was a contributor to the book, Worst Case Scenarios. I was inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2007. Scuba

I started diving in 1986 and I've been all over the world diving since then. I have logged over a thousand dives in lakes, rivers, oceans, aquariums, deep pools of the world and even a crater. You can see my diving photos here. See my latest dive log online by clicking here.

What have I done?

Here are some examples of the fun times I've had.

Saharan Caravan

It was amazing to spend nights out in the desert, listening to the tales of the natives, really seeing the stars.

Dragons

I visited the Komodo Islands and had fun walking with the dragons. They are venomous but, as long as you are careful, it is safe enough to be near them. Amazing experience.

Tough Mudder

I've attended at least 15 of these all over the world. Great fun and a good challenge for anyone.

Personal Submarine

Going down to 1,000 feet below the surface, everything is very different. This sub is in Curacau, a wonderful island.

It is great honor to be included in several gallery showings and to allow folks to comment, critique and purchase my works.

An amazing experience swimming alongside this incredible creature; the whale shark.

The Great Pyramid

What an incredible feat of human effort. To view this in person is to wonder at us all.

As a life-long martial artist, I still practice today. I had a school with over 300 students at one time.
